-We cannot complete a Verification of Identity of Witness Certificates from your lender or Australian State/Territory regulatory body. Adult Passport Replacement (34 pages)

A replacement passport is a reprint of an existing passport with a new passport number, applicable under limited circumstances.

The expiry date will normally be the same as the passport being replaced.

The existing passport must have at least two years validity remaining in order for a replacement passport to be issued.

Replacement passports issued in the following circumstances will attract a fee.

Lost, Stolen or Damaged Passports

If you wish to apply for a replacement passport immediately, please visit https://www.passports.gov.au. If you cannot meet the requirements for a new full-validity passport, and you need to travel urgently, you may apply for an Emergency Passport.

The Australian High Commission can issue Emergency Passports to Australians needing to travel urgently and whose passports have been stolen, damaged or lost.

The Emergency Passport may also be issued in some limited circumstances when clients are unable to wait for the delivery of a full validity passport due to the urgent need to travel. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Emergency passports are normally produced within two business days. Application Fees apply.

Appointments are available on Tuesday (08.30 to 11.30), Wednesday (1.30 to 4.00) and Friday mornings (08.30 to 11.30), except for designated public holidays.
